Nobody joined the dots across my health.
COVID left me with skin and scalp problems. A broken arm revealed osteoporosis and arthritis. Then came cholesterol, blood pressure (too much of the good life!) and a frightening heart arrhythmia.
I sought expert help, but each saw one issue in isolation, not the whole person. A recommendation for one condition could affect another through ingredients, dosages or interactions. Too often, jargon replaced clear explanations of risks, choices and consequences. Without understanding the implications, how could I make informed decisions? Nobody joined the dots across my health.

Earlier awareness. Better decisions. For you, and for the world you live in.
Six principles, in practice.
The principles
Each links to the proof- Principle 01

Awareness before reaction
Better health starts with earlier awareness of what is in the products you use. Enbodie does not diagnose and does not replace your GP.
In practiceA product is graded before you use it, not after something has gone wrong. What preventative health really means
- Principle 02

Every body is different
Advice built on an average person fits nobody exactly. Age, sex, skin, life stage, beliefs and the sensitivities you live with all change what suits you.
In practiceA grade can be weighed against the profile you give us, including the sensitivities you flag, rather than a model person, on paid plans. When a product isn’t right for you
- Principle 03

Evidence before assumption
Experts disagree, and labels say “natural” or “dermatologist approved” with nothing behind it. We go to the original source, show how sure we are, and say plainly when we don’t know.
In practiceWe cite regulators and peer-reviewed science, never forums or AI summaries, and every cosmetic safety figure carries a confidence level. How we source evidence and grade products
- Principle 04
Dose and context change everything
Whether something is a risk depends on how much, how often, combined with what, and on whom. An ingredient list on its own can’t tell you that.
In practiceCosmetic ingredients are checked with the Margin of Safety method set out by the EU’s Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety. It compares the highest dose that caused no harm in safety studies with an estimate of how much reaches your body, and looks for a gap of at least a hundred-fold. Why you can trust the grade
- Principle 05
Understanding should be for everyone
Useful health information shouldn’t depend on your income, where you live, or knowing medical words.
In practiceThe Enbodie Trust Index turns six pillars of evidence into one plain A to E grade, with the reasons and sources one tap behind it. The grade and banned-ingredient alerts will be on the free plan when sign-up opens. How the Enbodie Trust Index is built
- Principle 06

Personal health and planetary health belong together
What we put on our bodies doesn’t stop with us. It goes down the drain, into rivers and the sea, and into the food chain.
In practiceEnvironmental findings, such as forever chemicals, microplastics and ingredients harmful to water life, are scored on named evidence, exactly like safety. Packaging is not graded yet. Enbodie and the planet
